WHAT IS THE HALF LIFE OF ENCYCLOPEDIAS?

Who would do this? Oh...that's right...us

I'm in the midst of ridding my life and home of clutter.  Midst means I am contemplating how I will do that.  So far, I have just moved things around to make them appear disposed of.  My next order of the day is to dispose of two sets of encyclopedias and the accompanying "year books",  all from the Pleistocene Epoch.

What to do with these damned things?  It would be easier to dispose of asbestos or nuclear waste.  The half life of uranium is only 760 million years for god's sake.   And encyclopedias weigh a ton.  I would be ashamed to haul them to the Goodwill dumpster next to the gas station down the street.  Besides, they would probably break the axle of my almost-new car.

When I googled "dispose of encyclopedias" I got
