I know the human being and the fish can coexist peacefully

"Schools should be places of safety, sanctuary and learning," Bush said Monday in reaction to the Virginia deaths. "When that sanctuary is violated, the impact is felt in every American classroom in every American community."

We all grieve. In a perfect world schools would be free from violence, hatred, bullying, supression, and military recruiting. Unfortunately, the world is not perfect. America is not perfect. Each of us is not perfect. But even as we grieve, we must strive to make it better.
