NEWS FLASH. PRICE AT THE PUMP HAS LITTLE IMPACT ON US
WASHINGTON — Drivers may be griping about record high gasoline costs, but the recent surge in the price at the pump will have little impact on most consumers and will be hardly noticed in the broad economy, say several economists, including those at Standard & Poor's, LaSalle Bank and the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas.
I'm sure the economists from Standard & Poor's, LaSalle Bank and the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas will hardly notice the price at the pump. But don't they know that the trickle down effect goes both ways? Won't all of our costs be impacted by the cost of gasoline, and energy costs in general?
Do these bafoons think we are not impacted by rising energy costs, rising health costs, environmental destruction, loss of freedom, and declining incomes?
Those who make our decisions for us are not concerned with how their decisions impact us. What is their concern? I think we all know.
