I know the human being and the fish can coexist peacefully

The first sonogram of my first grandchild is in.  They say it's a girl.  And she's sucking her thumb (or talking on a cell phone).  How cute is that?  Also, it appears she is right-handed in a family of lefties.  How's that for asserting her individuality?

So the sonogram dispels the rumors that she is twins.  Good news and bad news.  We liked the idea of two, but there is less risk with one.

I'm having difficulty grasping the concept of my baby having a baby although she and her husband are older than we were when we had ours.  She's also better informed and is making healthier decisions.  She doesn't drink, and she doesn't eat sushi, ham or peanuts. Parents of today are armed with a wealth of info.  There's Omega 3's and safety car seats.  How did we get by without that?  Without the internet?   Without sonograms?  Without cell phones?  Without Onesies?  Without dvd's?  Without iPods?

Another of life's mysteries.
