If Bush accepted the invitation to speak at Iran U...
I see that President Ahmadinejad has extened an invitation to Bush to speak at an Iranian university. I can only imagine how that would go. I'm basing my speculation on some actual Bush quotes. Here is my fantasy interview.
Iran U: President Bush, will you summarize briefly what you expect of Iraq and Iran?
Bush: ...the free world is not going to tolerate the development of know-how in how to build a weapon, or at least gain the ability to make a weapon.
Iran U: How do you describe the current Iraq situation, specifically?
Bush: Some call this civil war; others call it emergency -- I call it pure evil.
Iran U: How is the U.S. security operation in Iraq going?
Bush: We're kicking ass.
Iran U: What do you think about the disagreement within the U.S. regarding your policies?
Bush: And there is distrust in Washington. I am surprised, frankly, at the amount of distrust that exists in this town. And I'm sorry it's the case, and I'll work hard to try to elevate it.
Iran U: How do you want history to remember you?
Bush: You know, I guess I'm like any other political figure: Everybody wants to be loved.
Iran U: What do you predict for the outcome in the Middle East?
Bush: Either we'll succeed, or we won't succeed. And the definition of success as I described is sectarian violence down. Success is not no violence.
Iran U: Are there similarities between Iraq and Vietnam?
Bush: There are some similarities, of course. Death is terrible.
Iran U: What is your responsibility as President of the United States?
Bush: My job is a job to make decisions. I'm a decision -- if the job description were, what do you do -- it's decision maker.
Iran U: What is the solution for Iraq as you see it?
Bush: The solution to Iraq -- an Iraq that can govern itself, sustain itself and defend itself -- is more than a military mission. Precisely the reason why I sent more troops into Baghdad.
God has surely blessed America.
