I know the human being and the fish can coexist peacefully

When Senator Paul Wellstone, Democratic Senator from Minnesota and member of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party, died in a plane crash with his wife and daughter in October 2002, it was a tragedy on many levels. 

Wellstone and his wife were liberals  and  leading spokesmen for the progressive wing of the national Democratic party.  How said it would have been if their work had died with them.  Fortunately their children, Mark and David Wellstone,  founded "Wellstone Action" to continue their parents' work.  The mission of the organization is to train, educate, organize, and mobilize a vast network of progressive individuals and organizations.

Wellstone Action teaches people across the country the basics of grassroots, political action, drawing from Paul Wellstone's successful approach.  The organizataion also works to build the progressive movement, push for change, and champion the social  issues for which the Wellstones fought so passionately.

Corporations, for the most part, are funding conservative agendas.  It is imperative that we have organizations like Wellstone Action and Al Franken's Midwestern Values Pac (MVP) to fund  the liberal and progressive movements.  You might want to check them out and perhaps lend a hand...I did.
