I know the human being and the fish can coexist peacefully

I dreamed my spouse and I were in a restaurant (sort of the Boston Market variety).  The food that was placed before us, together with a whole chicken that was quite burnt looking, was a large, intact turtle.  The shell of the turtle was charred and black but the rest of the turtle looked just like a turtle you would see happily swimming at the aquarium.

I wasn't quite sure what to do at first, so I touched it's head just above the eyes (comparable to a forehead) and found that it was cool to the touch.  A few seconds after my comment that the turtle was not "done",  it stood up and started walking.  My next remark was, "It's still alive".  If there was more to this dream, I do not remember it.

The only real life association I can make is that my daughter, who is expecting her first child, had told me she had bought a rotisserie chicken at Trader Joe's.  We find her craving for chicken interesting because she is pretty much a vegetarian.

I'm sure Freud would give this dream a sexual interpretation, but I wouldn't.   However, I believe the turtle is a symbol of fertility in some cultures, although certainly not in mine.
