Choosing a Baby Name is Exhausting
My daughter soon will have to decide what to name her baby unless she is going to let her daughter choose her own name like some flower children did in the sixties. I'm not sure at what age that choice would be made. Can you imagine a three-year-old choosing her own name? Leaf, bug, puppy, flower, poop.
I must admit those are better than names selected from a Danielle Steele novel. Many names today sound like that to me, although I never actually read Danielle Steele.
Or she can go the Gwyneth Paltrow route and select a fruit. How about kiwi or prickly pear? Maybe scrolling through some of the blog names here on Mindsay would work. Pimpmunk?
I had a friend whose father told her he didn't care what she named her daughter as long as the name didn't sound like someone dropping their keys. Sounds open up a world of possibilities indeed...as long as it's not that sound car alarms make when they go off in the parking lot.
