My local television station did an investigative report on the rising gas prices. Their words of wisdom? Check your tire pressure, oil, transmission, remove heavy items from the trunk, and combine errands into one trip.

My home-away-from-home, South Carolina, has one of the lowest gas prices in the nation at a whopping $2.95 to $3.01 right now.  A AAA spokesman there told residents to be glad they don't live in Illinois...this from a motorist advocate.  A resident there was quoted as saying about the rising prices, "You have to laugh because what else can you do?"

Everybody talks about it, no one does a thing about it...especially our elected officials.   I'm certainly not laughing, but the oil companies are....all the way to the bank.
